Working on Persuasive Arguments

Have you ever tried to convince your parents to buy you the latest gadget or new toy?  Have you ever tried to convince your teacher not to give you homework or a friend to play the game you want? Have you convinced a sibling to watch your favorite TV show? If you answered yes to any of these questions, then you already know a lot about persuasive writing. 
Today you are going to start writing persuasive essay.  First you need to think about something you are really interested about and care a lot about.  Then, you will do some research so you have solid facts to base your essay on.  Finally, you will plan and write an persuasive essay.
